Everyone is encouraged to join in the excitement of Southern Berkshire Bike Week.
 
 
Bike to Work
An integral part of the week-long event is the Bike-to-Work initiative. Businesses, offices or individual workers are encouraged to bike to work and will be entered in a prize raffle each day they bike to work during the week of May 12th -18th, 2008.
 
 
Business Team Challenge
 Can't ride your bike to work all week? Then join your office team on Friday, May 16th for the business challenge. The business with the highest percentage of employees biking to work on that day will garner official recognition.
 
 
Group Rides
On Saturday, May 17th there will be 3 group rides leaving from Berkshire Bike and Board’s store on State Road in Great Barrington. Rides will be 15, 35 and 65-miles and will be followed by a free barbeque from 1-3 PM. Call 413-528-5555 for details.
65 mile ride leaves at 9:30 am
 35 mile ride leaves at 10:30 am
15 mile ride leaves at 11:00 am
 
Bike Riders BBQ
After to group rides on Saturday, May 17th Berkshire Bike and Board will host a free BBQ from 1- 3 PM. The BBQ is open to all bicyclist.
 
Childern's Bike Rodeo 
Safety is an important issue when discussing biking on our busy streets. To reinforce that issue, Berkshire South Regional Community Center and Berkshire Bike and Board are teaming up on Sunday, May 18th, to host a bike rodeo (www.berkshiresouth.org) at Berkshire South Regioanl Community Center on Crissey Road in Great Barrington. Children will have their bikes inspected and be instructed in the basics of safe biking on the road. Helmets for those children who need them will also be available.
